  • CALL FOR APPLICANTS: Medical Assistants, LPN's and RN's to fill full-time, part-time and PRN positions in our physician clinics. Prior office experience a plus. Must be able to give shots/immunizations/perform venipuncture/assist with procedures. Must be able to work until all patients are seen at end of the work day. Looking for individuals who are compassionate and focused on good patient care and who will adhere to our Standards of Behavior. (Recruitment Bonus: LPN's and Medical Assistants who are offered and accept full-time employment are eligible to receive up to $1,000.00 in return for successfully completing one year of full-time employment with Sparta Community Hospital.)

  • Case Manager - Social Services Department (Non-Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-Time. Monday-Friday. RN or BSN required. Proficient with Word and Excel. Previous experience as a Case Manager in a hospital nursing setting or Physician clinic preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Position will be responsible for coordinating inpatient discharge planning program, coordinating transitional care (SWB) program, and utilization review.

  • Health Information Clerk - Health Information Services Department (Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-Time. Work hours determined by departmental needs, but starting Monday-Friday, or manager's discretion on weekends, 5 hours a day; times to be determined. Maintaining records, scanning, filing, phone duties and other clerical functions. Excellent organizational skills needed. Accuracy imperative. Excellent keyboarding and mouse skills required. Must understand the concept of exceptional customer service. Must be able to tolerate seating, bending, lifting and reaching for long periods. Qualifications: H.S. diploma, medical office experience and medical terminology preferred. Certification as MA, Med. Sec'y. or HIM professional preferred. Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently, be dependable, able to work under time constraints, have good phone manners and be a team player.

  • Clerical Office Assistant Position Openings in Physician Clinics -  (Bargaining Unit Position)

Past experience in physician's office preferred. Ability to operate basic office equipment including multi-line phone line. Above average computer and organizational skills. ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge beneficial. Must be comfortable using an electronic medical record for recording phone message. Ability to adapt to a fast paced medical office environment and perform as a team player who is willing to adopt Hospital's "Standards of Behavior."

  • Business Office Supervisor - Business Office (Non- Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. Monday-Friday. Seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Business Office Supervisor to lead the billing team in all aspects of the revenue cycle. Must have in depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party billing rules and regulations. Critical Access Hospital, Home Health and Rural Health Clinic billing experience is preferred but not required. Must have working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and inpatient and outpatient billing. Five (5) plus years of Manager/Supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Call Center Representative - Call Center (Non-Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-time. 50 hours per pay period. Qualifications of the successful candidate includes: 1 (one) year CPSI, CPSI MPEMER Clinic Scheduler and Enterprise Wide Scheduling experience. Must understand the concept of exceptional customer service and adapt the Hospital's "People First Philosophy." Must have knowledge of patient registration, medical and insurance terminology, hospital and medical office functions. Must be proficient in operating computer software including electronic mail (Outlook), spreadsheets (EXCEL), electronic health records (CPSI), word processing (Word), electronic document storage (Powerflow) and other applicable software as may be needed in a timely manner.

  • Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. 3-12 hour shifts. Working every other weekend; every other holiday. Current IL RN Licensure, CPR, ACLS certification required. 2-3 prior year's experience preferred. Must understand the concept of exceptional customer service and abide by the Hospital's "Standards of Behavior".

  • (2) Environmental Services Technician (s) - Full-time, Part-time. Environmental Services Department (Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time (1) & Part-time (1). Full-time position: Day shift, one weekend per month. Part-time position: 32 hours per pay period. Monday thru Friday. Work schedule: Variable evenings. Must be able to work without supervision. Must be able to operate carpet extractor and floor buffers. Must be able to strip, wax floors and run vacuum. Light to moderate lifting. Valid IL Drivers license required. DOT physical may be required. Must be dependable (no call-ins). Must be thorough in completing work tasks. Must be able to meet State and Federal standards.

  • (2) Customer Service Representative (s) - Customer Service (Bargaining Unit Position)

(2) Part-time. 32 and 40 hours per pay period, respectively. Work schedule varies, includes weekends and holidays as needed. Qualified candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, computer and customer service skills. Preferred candidate will have Medical Terminology knowledge and CPSI registration experience and coding a plus. Ability to multi-task and answer multiple phone lines. Must be able to handle stressful situations and be flexible with schedule. Must be able to work without direct supervision and be well organized. Must adopt Hospital's "Standards of Behavior."

  • (2) Registered Nurses - Emergency Room (Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. 12 hour shifts. Includes holidays and weekend rotations. 72+ hours per pay period. Current IL RN licensure, ACLS and PALS certification. 2-3 years ER experience preferred. TNS or CEN preferred. Must understand the concept of exceptional customer service and adopt the "Standards of Behavior" of the hospital.
