  • CALL FOR APPLICANTS: Medical Assistants, LPN's and RN's to fill full-time, part-time and PRN positions in our Quality Healthcare Physician Clinics (SCH physician clinics). Prior office experience a plus. Must be able to give shots, immunizations, perform venipuncture and assist with procedures. Must be able to work until all patients are seen at end of the work day. Looking for individuals who are compassionate and focused on good patient care and who will adhere to our Standards of Behavior. (Recruitment Bonus: LPN's and Medical Assistants who are offered and accept full-time employment are eligible to receive up to $1,000.00 in return for successfully completing one year of full-time employment with Sparta Community Hospital.)



  • Systems Engineer (IT/Networking) - Information Technology Department (Non-Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. 80 hours per pay period. Day shift. Monday-Friday, but may include flexing of after-hours on-call. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience. Healthcare experience preferred. Position reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for performing software installations and upgrades to network operating systems, servers and applications. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the network and servers to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures network integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware changes and solutions. Tier II support for end user issues and help with coverage of support staff when needed. Required skills include: Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Advanced knowledge of Networking equipment - CISCO, CCNA certification preferred, Active Directory management experience. Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Health Information Clerk - Health Information Services Department (Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-time. Work based on department needs but starting Monday - Friday or managers discretion on weekends, 5 hr days, times to be determined. Duties: Maintaining records, scanning, filing, phone duties and other clerical functions. Excellent organizational skills needed. Accuracy imperative. Excellent computer keyboarding and mouse skills required. Must understand the concept of exceptional customer service, and be able to tolerate sitting, bending, lifting and reaching for long periods. Qualifications: H.S. diploma, medical office experience and medical terminology preferred. Medical certification as MA, Medical Sec'y. or HIM professional preferred. Detail oriented, able to work independently, dependable, able to work under time constraints, while exhibiting good phone manners. Team player.

  • Registered Nurse (s) - Emergency Department (Bargaining Unit Position)

(2) Full-time positions. 12 hour shifts. Shifts may vary. Includes weekend and holiday rotations. 72 hours per pay period. Current IL RN licensure. ACLS and PALS required. 2-3 years ED experience preferred. Must understand the concept of quality customer service and be willing to adopt the Hospital's "Standards of Behavior."

  • Home Health Biller - At-Home Health Care (Non-Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-time. 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Seeking an experienced home health billing professional. 2 years experience with Home Health accounts receivable, follow-up and appeal process with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance. Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding Home Care billing procedures. Must have excellent organizational skills, computer and word processing skills, and written and verbal skills.

  • Team Care Assistant(s) - Sparta Medical Office & Marissa Medical Office* (Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. 72 Hours per pay period. Schedule: Days, Varied. Qualifications: RN, LPN or Medical Assistant. Schedule same day patient appointment requests. Place callbacks to providers when messages are outside triage protocol. Past experience in physician's office or professional training required. Skills: Injection skills, venipuncture, customer service and computer skills necessary in performing role. Must be a multi-tasker with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, work independently. Must exhibit skill in customer service, work well with all age groups, be a team player and adopt the Hospital's "Standards of Behavior."

  • Case Manager - Social Services Department (Non-Bargaining Unit Position)

Part-time. Monday-Friday (7:30 am to 11:30 am). RN or BSN required. Proficient with Word and Excel. Previous experience as Case Manager, hospital nursing, or in a Physician office/clinic preferred. Patient assessment skills, discharge planning/Utilization Review needed. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Position will be responsible for coordinating inpatient discharge planning program (Critical Access Hospital), coordinating transitional care (Swing Bed) program and UR. Must adopt Hospital's "Standards of Behavior".

  • Clinical Assistant - Convenient Care* - North Campus (Bargaining Unit Position)

Full-time. 80 hours per pay period. Work schedule varies with variable hours, days, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible. Past experience in physician's office, Medical Assistant or LPN training necessary. Injection skills, venipuncture, customer service and computer skills necessary in performing role. Must be a multi-tasker with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, work independently, perform injections, venipuncture, become trained in conducting drug screens and other occupational health testing. Must be a team player who adopts the Hospital "Standards of Behavior."

  • Radiology Tech - Radiology Department (Bargaining Unit Position)

PRN. Works as needed. Must be registered X-Ray Technician. Must be able to perform or willing to learn routine Diagnostic Radiology and CT, US, MRI and Mammograms a plus. Must possess valid Illinois Radiologic Technology license and ARRT certification. Must adopt the Hospital's Standards of Behavior.
