Shawn Beckemeyer, M.D.

Dr. Beckemeyer is a Family Practice Provider and has been affiliated with Sparta Community Hospital/Coulterville Medical Clinic since 1999. She completed her medical training at Anderson Area Medical Center, Anderson S.C. after completing her Medical Degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine at Springfield. Dr. Beckemeyer enjoys Pediatric and Adult medicine.

Lee Peter Bee, D.O.

Dr. Bee is an Internal Medicine specialist and is the newest member of the Medical Staff at Sparta Community Hospital, joining our staff in 2010 and beginning to see patients on June 14, 2010. He sees patients at the Bradbury Rural Health Clinic-Family Practice office in Sparta.

David Chung, MD

Dr. Chung is a Family Practice Provider and has been a member of the Sparta Community Hospital staff since 2001.  His practice is located at Family Health Centre in Sparta. Dr. Chung completed his Residency in River Forest IL and has his Medical Degree from Northwestern Illinois University in Chicago.

Russell Coulter, MD

Dr. Coulter has been practicing family medicine at Sparta Community Hospital since 1983.  His practice is located at Family Health Centre in Sparta.Dr. Coulter completed his Medical Degree at Rockford School of Medicine and his Family Practice Residency at the Southern Illinois School of Medicine affiliate hospitals in Springfield, IL.

Franklin James, MD

Dr. James is a Family Practitioner who completed his Residency at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Yonkers New York.  Dr. James Joined the Sparta Community Hospital Staff in June of 2000.  Dr. James provides a full range of Family Medicine at our Coulterville Medical Clinic. 
 

Mark Preuss, MD

Dr. Preuss has been a member of the Sparta Community Hospital’s Medical Staff since 1990 and provides family practice services to the members of the Steeleville Community at Sparta Community Hospital’s Steeleville Clinic.  Dr. Preuss completed his Medical Doctorate at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Dr. Preuss completed his Residency at the University of Kansas, Kansas City Missouri.

Elvira Salarda, MD

Dr. Salarda began providing family practice medical services at Sparta Community Hospital in 1992.  Her practice is located at Sparta Medical Office in Sparta. Dr. Salarda completed her Medical Doctorate in the Philippines and her Family Practice Residency at the Nassau Communities Hospital Oceanside, New York.  Dr. Salarda enjoys both adult and pediatric medicine.

John R. Trost, MD

Dr. Trost was born in St. Louis, MO and raised in Marissa, IL where he learned through hard work and education he could accomplish his goal of becoming a doctor and surgeon. Educated at Southern Illinois University-Springfield, he became a General Surgeon, practicing with several prestigious practices in northern Illinois. He now performs General Surgery at Sparta Community Hospital and sees patients at the Bradbury Rural Health Clinic-Surgical Services in Sparta.
