Sparta Community Hospital is pleased to announce that Ultrasound Technologist, Brandi Wolf, RDMS (OBGYN) (AB), RVT, RT(R), has recently became vascular certified by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
To earn this certification, Wolf met the examination prerequisites and passed two specialty exams that pertained to her knowledge in physics and the vascular ultrasound specialty.
“By becoming registered, I can better serve the patients in our community,” states Wolf. “Being able to screen for things such as blood clots or deep vein thrombosis, as well as checking the blood flow in the veins and arteries to make sure it is flowing correctly is an important piece in helping physicians care for patients.”
According to ARDMS, this credential raises the standard of vascular ultrasound practice and promotes best practices for enhanced patient safety. It is designed to certify medical professionals in the vascular ultrasound field. By earning the RVT credential, healthcare professionals, like Wolf, gain a critical edge in promoting public safety in vascular ultrasound.
