2025 Overall Winners: Female: Becca Thomas and Eric Bayless

Despite weather that kept everyone guessing earlier in the day, runners and walkers gathered once again for the Healthy Holiday Hustle on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Organized each year by the Sparta Community Hospital, the Healthy Holiday Hustle 5K and 1.5 Fun Run/Walk benefits the Shop with a Cop Program through the Sparta Police Department, giving children the opportunity to shop alongside local police officers during the holiday season.

Snow, sleet, rain—and heavy wind earlier in the day tried to steal the show, but the rain cleared before take-off. And while the wind was fierce—so were our participants. They showed up, just like they do every year. That grit and tradition is what makes Sparta special.

Thank you to the City of Sparta Street Department for ensuring cones and barricades were out early at major intersections, and to Coach Jordan Beckley and the Sparta Bulldogs Basketball players for guarding intersections. Nearly an hour in brutal wind, standing strong—because it mattered. Their commitment kept our runners safe from start to finish, and we are deeply grateful.

Even before final expenses were tallied, one thing was certain—community support continued to reach new heights.

The Healthy Holiday Hustle continues a long-standing partnership between community supporters, sponsors, and law enforcement to benefit local youth. Through the Shop with a Cop Program, area children shop side-by-side with Sparta police officers—an experience that spreads hope, dignity, and generosity throughout the season.

With gratitude, we thank the sponsors who powered this year’s Healthy Holiday Hustle.
