Nutrition Nights Launches This November

Improving your health doesn’t have to start with a major lifestyle overhaul. Often, the most meaningful changes begin with a single choice.
Whether it’s drinking more water, preparing meals at home more often, or learning how food impacts blood sugar, small, sustainable actions can make a big difference over time.
That’s the idea behind Nutrition Nights, a new community wellness series from Sparta Community Hospital.
The series will kick off in November with a discussion focused on Prediabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, and everyday food choices. Led by Courtney Johnson, MS, RD, LDN, CDCES, participants will learn practical nutrition strategies that can support better health, reduce risk factors, and build confidence in making healthier choices.
Rather than focusing on restrictive diets or complicated meal plans, Nutrition Nights is designed to provide realistic tools that fit into everyday life. Attendees can expect an interactive, welcoming environment where they can learn, ask questions, and discover simple approaches to healthy eating.
“We want people to leave feeling empowered, not overwhelmed,” Johnson said. “Better health isn’t about perfection. It’s about making small changes that work for you and your family.”
As part of the evening, participants will have opportunities to engage in hands-on learning, enjoy healthy food samples, and take home resources that can help support healthy habits long after the event ends.
