25-bed acute care facility that offers a wide range of services including:
Surgery, Medical Surgical Inpatient beds, Emergency Medicine and an active swing
bed program. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
and is staffed by physicians from HospitalMD.
Our service area encompasses a 25 mile radius including the towns of Sparta,
Steeleville, Coulterville, and Marissa. To meet the need of our service
area, Sparta Community Hospital has established primary care physician offices

In addition, the following services can be found in Sparta: Physical Therapy and
The Center, a Convenient Care Clinic Open 7 days per week, a Specialty Clinic,
Cardiology, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Cardiac Rehab.
The Specialty Clinic is home to visiting specialists from the Belleville and St.
Louis area including: Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Vascular, ENT,
Plastic Surgery, and Pulmonology. It is located on the North end of

Sparta Community Hospital's Radiology Department boasts state of the art
technology most typically found in larger institutions. In addition to
Mammography and plain film x-rays, the department has 32 slice CT scanner, 4D
Ultrasound technology, and a nuclear medicine scanner. MRI services are
