Sparta Community Hospital Enhances Imaging Services with Advanced CT Technology
Sparta Community Hospital has completed a major upgrade to its CT (Computed Tomography) service with the installation of a Canon Aquilion Prime SP CT scanner.
“This upgrade is all about our patients,” said Aaron Fiene, RT(R)(C), Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. “This machine will deliver faster, sharper images and provide an improved experience for patients in our community.”
Faster, Safer, and Sharper Imaging

Team Member Jordan Meyerhoff, RT(R)(C), demonstrates the new Canon Aquilion Prime SP CT Scanner to Centralized Scheduling Team Member, Deanna Kilpatrick.
The Aquilion Prime SP offers high-resolution images at lower radiation doses, making scans safer without sacrificing quality. Its faster scan times and broader imaging capabilities also mean patients spend less time in the scanner, while providers receive clearer, more precise images to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Comprehensive Imaging Close to Home
Along with this new CT technology, Sparta Community Hospital provides a full-service imaging department, offering:
-
MRI
-
DEXA
-
3D mammography
-
Ultrasound
-
Nuclear medicine
Studies that at one time required travel to larger facilities can now be performed right here, reducing delays and ensuring timely access to advanced imaging.
