Helen McKelvey Guardian Angel Scholarship

The Helen McKelvey Guardian Angel Scholarship, sponsored by the Sparta Community Hospital Auxiliary, supports students pursuing careers in healthcare.

Scholarship Details

• Award: $500

• Eligibility: Students accepted into or currently enrolled in a medical-related healthcare professional program at a recognized college or university

• Payment: Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college or university on behalf of the student.

Recipients may also receive priority consideration for employment at Sparta Community Hospital after graduation.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

• High school transcript (including senior year first semester)

• ACT score

• Family and applicant 1040/1040A financial statement

• Personal essay describing why you are pursuing a healthcare career

• College information and acceptance letter or class schedule

• List of other scholarships applied for

Deadline

Applications must be submitted before April 30, 2026.
