Sparta Community Hospital has announced its donation of over $3,900 to the Sparta Police Department in support of their Shop With a Cop Program. This contribution was made possible through the 2023 Healthy Holiday Hustle, a community-wide event aimed at making getting people active and moving before the holiday, while making a positive impact.

The Shop With a Cop Program is an incredible initiative that allows underprivileged children to experience the joy of holiday shopping alongside local law enforcement officers. This program not only fosters positive relationships between the community’s youth and the police but also spreads holiday cheer and love.

“We are thrilled to be able to support the Sparta Police Department’s Shop With a Cop Program,” said Jennifer Barbour, Director of Marketing and Relations at Sparta Community Hospital. “This program has a profound impact on the lives of children in need, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

The 2023 Healthy Holiday Hustle brought together sponsors, participants, and community members. “We would like to extend a huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to all our amazing sponsors and participants,” added Barbour. “Their generosity and commitment to our community have made this donation possible.”

Sparta Community Hospital is committed to spreading kindness and love not only during the holiday season but also throughout the year. The hospital encourages everyone to join in the spirit of giving and make a positive impact in their communities.

The 2024 Healthy Holiday Hustle is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2023.  For more information, contact Barbour at 618-443-1467.
