Buchheit of Sparta recently donated $385 to Sparta Community Hospital’s Cancer Support Group. The funds were raised during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by Buchheit staff with the help of the community.
The Cancer Support Group donates funds to those undergoing cancer treatment by supplying gas cards, cash, etc. The group has also donated an ice machine to the Cancer Care Center and home made blankets to the patients receiving chemotherapy there.
“At this time, due to the pandemic, the group has been unable to meet, but they remain active via messenger and by phone.” states Carol Mulholland, Support Group Coordinator. “We look forward to the day that we can meet together again.”
