Sparta Community Hospital Invites Community to Celebrate Hospital Week
Sparta Community Hospital District is inviting the community to join in celebrating Hospital Week 2026, taking place May 10–16. This year’s theme, This Is Us, shines a light on the people behind the care—the teamwork, compassion, dedication, and heart that keep healthcare moving every single day.
Hospital Week is a national celebration recognizing the many individuals who work together to care for patients and communities. While many people immediately think of doctors and nurses, healthcare takes an entire team. From registration, housekeeping, maintenance, dietary, laboratory, imaging, therapy, pharmacy, clinics, and business office staff to providers, leadership, and support services—every role plays a part in creating a positive healthcare experience.
At Sparta Community Hospital District, that commitment to patients and the community is reflected in the organization’s external message, Believe in Better—a promise centered around continual improvement, access to care, and always striving to better serve the community. Internally, employees are guided by the phrase Care With Purpose, which reflects the culture and mindset behind the work being done every day. Together, the two messages represent both the organization’s commitment to the community and the heart employees bring to their roles.
This year’s Hospital Week theme, This Is Us, celebrates the people who make healthcare happen every day and recognizes the teamwork, compassion, and dedication that patients may not always see behind the scenes, but experience through every interaction and every level of care.
Throughout the week, employees across the organization will participate in themed dress-up days designed to bring fun, connection, and team spirit into the workplace. From bright colors and fun accessories to department-themed attire and SCH spirit wear, the activities are intended to celebrate the unique personalities and collaboration that make up the Sparta Community Hospital team.
As part of the celebration, Sparta Community Hospital is also welcoming the public to stop by campus throughout the week to support several local vendors who will be onsite.

This year, vendors have also agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds back to local initiatives supported by Sparta Community Hospital.
The Helping Hands Team at Sparta Community Hospital is an employee-led committee that assists employees facing financial hardships due to illness, fire, or other unexpected life events.
The Sparta Community Hospital Auxiliary supports the hospital and community through facility enhancements, equipment purchases, volunteerism, and scholarship activities for future healthcare professionals.
