Insurance Changeover – Effective March 9

What is changing?

Beginning Monday, March 9, our pharmacy will officially transition insurance billing from Moody Healthmart Pharmacy to Sparta Community Hospital’s Moody Pharmacy.

Prescriptions will now be processed under Sparta Community Hospital’s retail pharmacy system and insurance contracts.

Will this affect my prescriptions?

Your pharmacy team remains the same. However, during this transition, some insurance approvals may take longer than usual, which could temporarily impact prescription turnaround times.

What should I do?

To help avoid inconvenience, we encourage patients to:

  • Request refills a few days earlier than usual

  • Avoid waiting until the last minute

  • Contact us with questions about upcoming prescriptions

Planning ahead will help ensure a smoother experience during this transition.

Will my insurance still be accepted?

We anticipate continuing to work with the same major insurance plans. If you have questions about your specific coverage, our pharmacy team will gladly assist you.

Why is this change happening?

This transition allows Moody Pharmacy to operate fully as part of Sparta Community Hospital District — strengthening coordination across our healthcare system and supporting the long-term sustainability of local pharmacy services.

We are investing in systems that keep care close to home, improve integration across services, and position us for the future.

Because at Sparta Community Hospital, we don’t stand still. We Believe in Better — better systems, better coordination, and better access for the community we serve.
