Sparta Community Hospital is pleased to welcome their new dietitian, Courtney Johnson, MS, RD, LDN. Courtney is a native of Chester and a graduate of Chester High School. “I am so excited to provide nutrition care to those in my rural community. States Courtney. Courtney attended Southern Illinois University where she completed her Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics and Masters in Food and Nutrition. She then completed her internship rotation at Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) hospital in Carbondale.
Following completion of her internship she passed the Registered Dietitian Exam and accepted a Registered Dietitian position through SIH providing nutrition care to both inpatients and outpatients.
Courtney currently resides in Steeleville with her boyfriend Chase, their two cats (Trudy and Jovi) and dog (Yosef).
