Stay on Track During the Holidays: Free Nutrition Education Event
Between festive gatherings, busy schedules, and endless treats, the holidays can make healthy eating feel like a challenge. To help you stay balanced and confident this season, Sparta Community Hospital’s registered dietitian, Courtney Johnson, MS, RD, LDN, is hosting a free educational session designed to help you enjoy the season without losing sight of your health goals.
Join us for “Staying on Track During the Holidays” on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., where Courtney will share practical strategies to help you feel great through the holidays — and start the new year already feeling successful.
What You’ll Learn
This engaging session is open to everyone — whether you’re focused on balanced eating, managing diabetes, or currently taking GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, or Mounjaro®.
Courtney will share real-world strategies to help you:
-
Balance your plate and practice portion awareness
-
Add more colorful vegetables into everyday meals
-
Eat mindfully and enjoy favorite foods without guilt
-
Sleep better and manage stress
-
Support your health while on (or off) GLP-1 medications
-
Avoid the “all-or-nothing” mindset that leads to New Year diet pressure
“The goal is to feel great — not restricted,” says Johnson. “We want to help people feel confident and in control — whether they’re managing weight, improving blood sugar, or simply trying to make healthier choices.”
Participants will walk away with realistic, sustainable tools for staying consistent, nourishing their bodies, and enjoying the holidays guilt-free.
