Sparta Community Hospital now employs a Rural Health Clinic Administrator.  Peter Hertzing has earned his Certification of Rural Health Clinic Professional from the National Association of Rural Health Clinic Academy.

The National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to improving the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care in rural underserved areas through the Rural Health Clinics (RHC) Program.

NARHC feels that in order for RHCs to thrive and grow, their employees, especially those in a leadership role, need to educate themselves on the federal and state guidelines pertaining to the Rural Health Clinic Program.  RHCS have distinctly different rules when it comes to operations and management.

Peter has served as Quality Healthcare Clinics Director for 11 years and has been part of the Sparta Community Hospital team 16 years.
