Cheryl Adams, Home Health Administrator of Sparta Community Hospital, attended the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice Winter Conference. Adams is also the President of Illinois Homecare and Hospice Council.
She and the Executive Directive of IHHC Sara Ratcliff presented “Strategies for Success with Review Choice Demonstration in PDGM”,(Patient Driven Grouping Model). Adams has been a sought after speaker in the home health arena across the nation.
She has also been selected as a member of the Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Groups (POE-AGs). The groups have been established as forums for Palmetto GBA to solicit input and feedback from the healthcare provider communities on various topics such as provider education materials; tentative dates and locations for healthcare education workshops or events; and particular topics of interest or concern.
POE-AG members provide feedback to Palmetto GBA regarding provider education and training topics, as well as dissemination avenues and types and/or locations for educational forums. Palmetto GBA is a contracted fiscal intermediary for Medicare Home Health Services in 13 states which includes Illinois. Adams states it is important to have a seat at the table to assist PGBA in providing quality information and education to healthcare providers, especially in our rural areas.
