SPARTA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL TO HOST CRANIUMS & GERANIUMS
Sparta Community Hospital is partnering with the University of Illinois Extension to host ‘Craniums & Geraniums’, an interactive workshop designed to explore the connection between gardening and mental wellness.
University of Illinois Extension Educators, Katie Lynn Bell and Robin Ridgley, will lead participants through a variety of activities where they will learn safety and adaptive gardening methods; participate in brain fitness activities; practice transplanting plants to pots; discover how to mix various plants in the same container; learn about the importance of potting mix; and discuss general plant care.
All attendees will each plant their own ornamental container garden to take home and enjoy.
‘Craniums & Geraniums’ will take place on Thursday, May 19, at the Sparta Community Hospital Broadway Plaza Suite 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
