Homeward Bound Patient, Willard Bockhorn, of Sparta, utilizes Zoom to speak with family.

With strict visitor restrictions being in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sparta Community Hospital
is turning to technology to help patients remain connected.

“We’re proud to be able to set-up Zoom for patients and family members to talk,” states Med Surg Manager, Becky
Ferrari. “It’s been a great tool to help patients stay in touch with their loved ones, while recovering in the hospital.”

Technology, such as Zoom, Skype, and FaceTime have all popular tools for family members to communicate with each other, during the pandemic. Utilizing it in the hospital setting is just another way to rely on the technology.

Families interested in setting-up a Zoom meeting with their loved one, should contact the Nurses Station at Sparta
Community Hospital at 618-443-2177 ext. 1395.
