Sparta Community Hospital is thrilled to be able to work with Memorial Hospital Chester, Red Bud Regional Hospital, and the Randolph County Health Department to help vaccinate our residents!

Vaccination appointments are now being scheduled for all individuals 18 and over!

At this time, Sparta Community Hospital will only be receiving the Moderna vaccination, which is only approved for individuals 18+.  Sparta Community Hospital will not be keeping a wait list of individuals under the age of 18.

Interested individuals must be:

  • 90 days COVID negative
  • 90 days from receiving COVID antibody treatment
  • 14 days from receiving any other vaccine (ie: measles, shingles, flu, etc.)

While there is not a charge for the vaccine itself, your insurance may be billed an administration fee.  Please be sure to bring current your current insurance card with you to your appointment.  Vaccinations are being administered in the Auxiliary Rooms at Broadway Plaza in Sparta.

Jackson County Health Department

The Illinois National Guard is working with the Jackson County Health Department to administer vaccines to individuals 16 and older.  Schedule at Jackson County Health Department.

Additionally, select chain pharmacies across the country are being authorized to assist with vaccinations.  Pharmacies in our region that you may be able to receive your vaccine are: KrogerWalgreens, and Walmart.
